The TransGuys Community Awards are the only International web awards that honor excellence and achievement by transgender men on the Internet. Established in 2010, the biennial Awards are presented by TransGuys.com, and acknowledge the tremendous growth of the Internet as an important tool for FTM transition, community building, and raising awareness about issues that affect the lives of transgender men.
For the inaugural Awards, honors will be presented in 10 categories:
Best Blog- Best YouTube Channel
- Best Facebook Presence
- Best Community
- Best Resource Website
- Best Action Campaign
- Best Business
- Musician or Music Group of the Year
- Sex Performer of the Year
- Phoenix Award for Outstanding Achievement
How the Awards Work
Nomination Phase: October 31 – November 19, 2010
You, the online community, sponsor nominations. After the nomination phase ends, a total of 5 nominees per award category will be selected by TransGuys.com to move on to voting, based on eligibility criteria and the number of nominations.
Voting Phase: November 22 – December 10, 2010
During the voting phase, you can register a vote in each category, once per day.
Judging Phase: December 11 – December 13, 2010
TransGuys.com will vote in each category. This Judge vote counts for 30%, while the public vote counts for 70%. The overall winners will announced in a feature article on December 14, 2010.
